Microsoft will unleash the latest Xbox One update at some point this evening. Enhancements to the multiplayer suite, audio output, and livestreaming capabilities will be included.
The update will highlight your online friends faster, let you invite them to parties quicker, open party chat by defaults, and of course remove the Twitch TV barricades, readying the service for March 11th. You can also adjust the volume of your TV with "Xbox, Volume Up" and "Xbox, Volume Down" incrementally, rather than in large chunks like before.
For the record, I truly believe these updates are great. My main problem with my Xbox One is that it didn't feel complete. Every update brings it that much closer to the product I feel Microsoft promised. This multiplayer update is a big step forward.
