Codemasters have announced their newest game GRID Autosport on their site and addressed issues that plagued GRID 2. They didn't come straight out and say that GRID 2 was crap... which it was... but they as good as said it, in marketing terms. They posted the following about the game:
"On release of GRID 2, I think it’s fair to say that through listening to you guys and a after a substantial amount of reflection, we hadn’t quite achieved everything we set out to do. We’re proud of the game" they went on to say "but we’re not above admitting that we made a few decisions that perhaps we shouldn’t have, and perhaps moved some of the aspects of the game too far away from our core fanbase."
I think it's good that they aren't shying away from the mistakes that they made with their previous game but I wont go singing praises until I have seen what they have to offer in the next installment. Currently the game is set for PC and last gen consoles. The newest trailer can be seen below:
