I felt like I needed a rant about this... Dice released a statement on their site to let you know that Battlefield 4 is still broken but that they might fix some of the issues kinda soon. It is an absolute crime that they continued to release DLC after the game was released. I know that some sites have been beating around the bush with this by talking about 'issues' that BF4 experienced 'at launch'.
Maybe I should do the same, you never know when you are going to want a review code, but I'm not going to. The game was released in such a state that investors decided to take the company to court. That's how bad it is. Don't get me wrong I don't blame them for releasing the game like this. Sometimes it happens and there is nothing you can do about it. It's how you act after which makes the difference.
So, what could they have done? For a start, all DLC is on hold until issues are resolved. Second, everyone who bought the game at launch is given a season pass to get all DLC for free. Third, fix the fucking game. Battlefield was released half a year ago and the issues still persist. Rubberbanding, freezing, crashes to name a few.
What irritates me more than all of this is that players still comfort DICE with statements like "at least it's getting patched, unlike Arkham Origins". Is that where we are at in the industry? That a company deserves praise for patching a game. A game that you paid $60 and it was broken...
I won't be having it and nor should you.
