Microsoft Xbox Conference (Live updates!)
9:30am - Conference starts and everyone's wristbands start glowing to the beat and colors of the screen. Much applause. Such color. Very wow.
9:35am - New games are on the slate. Maybe we will see some classic returns? A good Halo game even?
9:36am - Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is shown. Xbox owners will be the first to play the DLC. Blah, blah, blah. Fuck off.
9:38am - This game looks like a cheap ripoff of Resistance meets Killzone. No thanks. Next game please?
9:40am - Titanfall 2 is announced. Oh wait, no, this is still Advanced Warfare. My fault. Seriously though, this is a horrible way to open a presser. People around me are literally falling asleep.
9:45am - Nurburgring finally announced for Forza 5. About, fucking, time.
9:47am - Forza Horizon 2 is shown off. Game looks brilliant. I'm a huge fan of the first entry, but without being able to use my Fanatec CSR on the Xbox One, I'm going to have to pass. Microsoft needs to allow drivers to update cross platform if they want to keep the hardcore racing fan.
But seriously, this game looks gorgeous.
9:50am - Evolve just took center stage. I want to be the monster. I WILL KILL YOU AS A MONSTER! Hyped. Hyped, hyped, hyped.
9:51am - And then it's over. Assassin's Creed Unity time.
9:52am - You can play online with up to three other people. Nothing like screaming at your buddy as he/she botches the silent approach. Still pumped as hell though. I love these games.
9:53am - Movement still seems to be the same. Textures are smooth and shadows look fantastic. Definitely still looks like an AC game though.
10:00am - Dragon's Age Inquisition blows up. Everything about this game looks incredible. If the actual game is even half as good as that trailer, we are in for a real treat.
10:02am - The first new game is shown, Sunset Overdrive. I'm in love already. This looks like exactly the type of new IP we need. Great art, great story, great characters. Doesn't take itself too seriously while still being a great game. I'M PUMPED, BRO!
10:04am - Even the soundtrack during this Sunset Overdrive demo is phenomenal. Now he's blowing up monsters while grinding the rails of a roller coaster. I can't wait. I seriously can't wait.
10:05am - October 28th, exclusively on Xbox One, featuring 8-player online mode as well as a single player campaign, Sunset Overdrive just stole the show for myself.
10:06am - More Dead Rising bullshit. Moving on.
10:07am - Dead Rising Capcom DLC available today on Xbox One.
10:08am - Dance Central Spotlight is announced after about thirty redirects. Digital only, available in September. Is it weird I'm more excited about this game than I am for everything else?
10:10am - Fable Legends is announced to the sighs and heady anticipation of the crowd. Are we going to see yet another Fable game that fails to deliver what it promises? If this demo means anything... yes. Yes we are. I do love this franchise however so will keep being hopeful.
10:12am - You can play as the villain(s) in Fable Legends. From a top-down view it's your job to unleash enemies on the heroes and hopefully destroy their quest. Could be cool. Again, keeping my hopes alive.
10:15am - Project Spark is shown. If this game works as well as it's advertised, I am going to have so many hours into it. It's like LittleBigPlanet on crack. And I fucking love crack.
10:18am - Indie-esque game titled, "Ori and the Blind Forest" is Game of the Year. I guarantee it. That almost had me in tears. Wow.
10:22am- Halo is shown. That is all.
10:23am - November 11th, 2014 you'll be able to play Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One. Also, Halo 5 will be coming out next year - no date revealed.
10:25am - Halo 2 is getting the full anniversary treatment. It will continue the original multiplayer, exactly as it was back in the day. There are also 6 new maps that will be brought into full HD to show off the power of the Xbox One.
10:28am - Halo 5: Guardian beta coming out this holiday.
10:30am - THREES. THREES WAS SHOWN! NOW I FEEL JUSTIFIED WITH MY $500 XBONE PURCHASE!
10:37am - Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider. Tomb. Raider. To. Mb. Rai. Der. TOMB FUCKING RAIDER.
10:38am - The Witcher 3 shows up to the party. Shoots a giant bird and chases it's blood trail. The Witcher: Dangerous Hunts is announced.
10:43 am - Phantom Dust is announced. Never played the original. Is this a good or a bad thing?
10:47am - Here comes The Division. Hopes are high that Ubisoft won't bomb this like they did Watch_Dogs. Atmosphere is beautiful. Movement looks crisp. The map shows up on the floor instead of a separate screen which is brilliant.
10:52am - Scalebound takes center stage. Features Ellen DeGenerous in a dragon-slaying adventure. Looks pretty sweet, honestly.
11:00am - Pretty epic trailer for Crackdown. First game I've clapped for all presser. That was awesome. Way to do a trailer!
That's it. Shows over folks. 90 minutes of nothing, really. Other than a few key games this was a pretty big letdown.
